ROSE TATTOO PRESS RELEASE -
Armegeddon Music has set a February 16, 2007 for the new ROSE TATTOO album
entitled 'Blood Brothers'
ROSE TATTOO has posted it's
video for the track "Black Eyed Bruiser" at YouTube.com. The song is the
first single from 'Blood Brothers' which was produced by veteran Australian
producer Mark Optiz (INXS, Cold Chisel, KISS). "Black Eyed Bruiser" was
written by the band's original production team, Harry Vanda and George Young,
who were AC/DC's producers.
ROSE TATTOO were due to start
recording 'Blood Brothers' in Sydney on May 1, but put back the recording
following the guitarist Pete Wells' passing until July. The band were very
hopeful of having Pete play on this album before he got too ill.
ROSE TATTOO will embark on a
European tour in early March. The band will also play select tour dates
with SAXON and MASTERPLAN.
Further to the earlier news on
the BON SCOTT concert, ROSE TATTOO will be appearing as wells as Pete's old
BUFFALO mate, Dave Tice as part of THE PARTY BOYS. Check out the website

Welcome to petewells.net
Pete's site has been moved due to major hassles with the tightening policies of YaHoo!
Geocities free sites which has hosted Pete's site for years. The bonus of
the move is that we can add more info as there's more space to use so stay tuned
for a bigger & better site.
Check out AC/DC 'Maximum Rock &
Roll' a newly released book co-authored by well respected Oz rock journalist &
long time Rose Tattoo mate, Murray Engleheart with Arnaud Durieux, a renound
rock journalist from New York who is also a huge AC/DC fan. The book
has quotes from Pete as well as talking about when Bon & Angus regularly joined
Rose Tattoo on stage for a jam. Murray is also working on a book on Rose
Tattoo, so stay tuned for that one!
Also on the AC/DC front, there is
a Bon Scott celebration concert being held in Perth, WA, Australia, on 25
February 2007, in order to raise money for a statue to be erected in honour of
Bon. For full details, check out

Sadly
Ian Rilen, a Rose Tattoo co-founder with Pete, died yesterday, Monday 30
October.
Report from Daniel Ziffer,
Entertainment Reporter, Melbourne Age, October 30, 2006 - 4:30PM
Hard-living Australian rock band Rose Tattoo have suffered another loss, with
the death today of former bassist Ian Rilen.
Founding guitarist Pete Wells died in March this year, months before the band —
whose hits included We Can't Be Beaten and
Scarred for Life — were inducted.
Rilen, a father of four who also led the band X, and more recently Ian Rilen and
the Love Addicts, passed away today after a battle with bladder cancer. He
co-wrote one of the band's biggest hits, Bad Boy For Love.
His former manager Ian Wedd said it was a metaphor for his life. "When Ian
pumped the bass, you felt it hit your guts," he said. "Lip jutting out, low to
the ground stance, grinding you into submission."
Cold Chisel songwriter Don Walker earlier called him "a national treasure".
Just two weeks ago the cream of Australia's rock fraternity joined forces in
Melbourne to help the ailing rocker. Nick Barker performed Tom Petty's
Waiting is the Hardest Part and said Rilen taught him to hang his guitar strap
lower; Paul Kelly played St Kilda to King's Cross; and
Rilen's X bandmate Steve Lucas performed a moving version of John Lennon's
Mother.
Rilen, 58, was took sick to attend the night.

ROCK legend Angry Anderson is
doing odd-jobs as a suburban handyman in-between gigs.
The Rose Tattoo front man, 57, is earning a crust in a string of day jobs
including cleaner, builder, plumber and landscaper.
"I'll turn up to a job and people
will ask: 'Aren't you Angry Anderson? What are you doing here?'," he says.
"And I'll say: 'I'm here to clean your house' or 'I'm here to work.'
"It's honest work, and I'm not above that."
Anderson, who will be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in a fortnight,
relishes manual labour when he's not on stage. He scours newspapers for jobs and
has regular contract work as a cleaner and plumber.
"It's a way of staying in touch, and I love working with other men,"
Anderson says. "I'm a typical boofhead Aussie bloke who enjoys the company of
other boof head Aussie blokes. "I love the whole tradie labouring ethic.
At the end of the day, you feel like you've done something. "You do
nothing being a full-time band. You drink far too much alcohol, take too many
drugs and sing on stage for a couple of hours.
Anderson has no pretence about his rock-star status and his duties as a cleaner
or labourer. "Am I worried about what people think? No, f*** 'em," he
says. "It's none of their business."
He devotes a few hours a day to songwriting, and performs sporadically with the
Tatts and a covers band. "But once an album is in the can, I'll ring the
cleaner and the tradesman and ask if they've got any work."
In an exclusive interview, Anderson revealed -
He had no hard feelings about an
apparent performance snub at the ARIA Hall Of Fame ceremony.
Written a tribute song to Pete Wells, the Rose Tattoo guitarist who lost a
battle with cancer in March.
Enjoyed heartfelt conversations with Wells during his last few days. "It
was time, and right -fully so, to not f*** around any more about the way we
felt," he says. "We'd known each other for more than 30 years. I
loved Pete dearly, but I'd never told him. Blokes are reluctant to do
that. It's not like telling your girlfriend: 'I love you, sweetheart.'
It was a hard thing to do, but we both knew we were running out of time.
So, finally, we were honest about our feelings," Anderson said. "We didn't need
to procrastinate any more. That time was over. Our last conversations were
honest. We said the things that needed to be said and I'm thankful that we
did."
Rose Tattoo will be Hall Of Fame honourees alongside Icehouse, Daddy Cool and
The Divinyls. But, unlike the others, the Tatts haven't been asked to perform at
the ceremony.
"I don't see that as a negative," Anderson says. "Rose Tattoo never sought
favour, and we never believed awards ceremonies were events that changed lives."
Wells was told about the induction before he died. "Pete was casual about
it, but I know Pete well enough to know he was chuffed," Anderson says.
Rose Tattoo's hits include Bad Boy For Love, We Can't Be Beaten and Rock & Roll
Outlaw. The band still performs to massive fan bases in Europe and the
(edit Eagle not correct) United States.

PRESS RELEASE - ROSE TATTOO
- THE LEGEND CONTINUES
Rose Tattoo are back in the studio recording a new album with veteran Australian
producer Mark Opitz (INXS / Cold Chisel / Kiss). The first single from the album
is 'Black Eyed Bruiser' a song written by the bands original production team,
Harry Vanda and George Young, who also were ACDC's producers.
There are 3 additional tracks on the single. These 3 songs were recorded live in
Sydney Australia at the Pete Wells Benefit Concert a few months before Pete
passed away. The songs are 'Rock'n'roll Outlaw', 'Remedy' and 'Astra Wally' -
they are all blistering versions recorded on a very special night when the
Australian Music Industry came together out of respect to honour Pete Wells, the
founding member of Rose Tattoo, who was diagnosed with prostrate cancer.
The band's royalties from this single will be donated to the Cancer Foundation
that Pete also supported before his death.
The decision on what Rose Tattoo would do following the passing of Pete Wells
could only be made by one person. The band visited Pete in hospital a week
before he died and he told them to keep going. If it were not for Pete's
instruction the band would have folded. Angry Anderson has always said "When I
joined Rose Tattoo I joined Pete's band".
In recent months the band has signed a worldwide recording deal with a German
label Armagedon. They were due to start recording in Sydney on May 1st but put
back the recording following Pete's passing until July. The band was very
hopeful of having Pete play on this album before he got too ill.
But time was not friendly for this wish to be realised.
The band's manager Steve White said "there was no way this record would be made
if Pete did not tell the boys to go ahead. It was not a decision the band could
or would have made without Pete's leadership. Rose Tattoo is a closed family
unit and the loss of Pete Wells runs very deep within the band. They are all
brothers."
Angry Anderson said "this is going to be a very personal record. This will be
our tribute. It has to be special".
Rose Tattoo will be doing some special shows in Europe in August and will be
releasing the single at the Wacken Festival. Plans are in work for an extensive
European tour after releasing the album in early 2007.
The line-up for Rose Tattoo is:
Angry Anderson - Vocals
Mick Cocks - Guitar
Steve King - Bass
Paul DeMarco - Drums
Dai Pritchard - Slide Guitar
Rose Tattoo is undoubtedly one of the great rock'n'roll bands in the world.
Thanks to Pete Wells - the legend continues.
Viele Grüsse / best regards,
THOMAS KREIDNER

It is with much sadness to let you know that Pete passed away
today. The good news is that Pete’s music will live on for the
inspiration of generations to come.
RIP Pete Wells, a great musician, a rock ‘n’ roll legend & most
importantly, a great friend.
